How not to break the egg (Egg on Wheels tips)
In Egg on Wheels you carry a living egg in your vehicle's nest to the nest at the end of each level. These are the real rules of the game and the habits that keep the egg in one piece.
π₯ Play Egg on Wheels free β Why the egg cracks
The egg cracks when the force on it passes its limit: hitting the bottom of a dip or a bump at nearly full speed, or landing a jump nose-first. The third crack breaks it, and if the vehicle ends on its roof the egg falls out.
The bar under the three little eggs shows the shaking: green is safe, yellow is risky, coral means a crack is coming. Near misses pay: at 85% of the limit without cracking you hear "Phew!" and earn 10 coins.
7 habits that save the egg
- Brake before a dip, not inside it: the hit comes at the bottom.
- In the air, gas lifts the nose and brake lowers it: land on both wheels, lined up with the slope.
- A Perfect landing needs a jump of more than a third of a second and less than 80% of the egg's limit; chaining them builds a combo up to x5.
- Bosses attack only on flat ground: when you see the red mark and the big "!", brake and let the attack land in front of you.
- If you stop on a climb, back up and build speed; with a run-up the starting tractor gets over 44-degree walls.
- The Nest upgrade raises the crack limit 6% per tier; Suspension shakes the egg 2% less per tier.
- Chicks help: the Duckling gives soft landings and the Dino a 12% harder shell.
